Mr. Konstant has more than 17 years of experience as a merchant financier, investor, and advisor to public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and capital formation. Previously, Mr. Konstant was the managing director of NCVC, LLC, a $200 million venture capital fund and indirect subsidiary of Nightingale Conant. While at NCVC, Mr. Konstant provided equity for the Wolfgang Puck Food Company, Nutrition for Life (which was the number one stock on NASDAQ in 1996), On Stage Entertainment, Platinum Technologies, and several other public companies. Previously, Mr. Konstant founded nanoUniverse, PLC (AIM: NANO), Electric City Corporation (AMEX: ELC) and co-founded Advanced Cell Technology (NASDAQ OTCBB: ACTC). Mr. Konstant has been a board member of Nightingale Conant, On Stage Entertainment, Brentwood School on the International Advisory Committee, and the Cedars Sinai Board of the investment subcommittee. Mr. Konstant recently served on the Cedars Sinai Board of Governors and the Board of the Investment Subcommittee. Mr. Konstant is a Mason at the Menorah Lodge #527. He has been a member in Young Presidents Organization since 1998 with the Belair Chapter in Los Angeles. Mr. Konstant is also the Founder of Shining Star Children Foundation, a charitable organization. Mr. Konstant attended Harvard Business School and has several certificates from HBS and the University of Chicago in addition a degree in Calculus from Barstow College. He is fluent in Greek, and semi-fluent in Italian and French. He is presently studying Mandarin.
Martin B. Oring
Martin Oring is an industry veteran who has more than 40 years of experience and expertise in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Research and Wealth Management. As Manager, Capital Markets and Investment Banking for Mobil Corporation from 1968-1989, Mr. Oring negotiated and implemented more than $2 billion of major domestic and international financings including bond issues, swaps and bond repurchases. From 1989 to 1996, he was Manager of Capital Planning for Chase Manhattan Corporation, advising senior management on capital targets, business valuations and executed required financings. Following Chase, Mr. Oring became Managing Director Executive Services for Prudential Securities where he was responsible for executing over $1 billion in client hedging strategies. In 2001, as Principal, he launched Wealth Preservation LLC; a financial advisory for high net worth individuals, structuring and implementing over $1 billion of proprietary tax and estate planning products.
Mr. Oring holds an MBA from Columbia University, Graduate School of Business, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. He has been a frequent Graduate Finance Course lecturer at Lehigh University and NYU. Further education credits include presentations on Private Placements and Project Financing to industry leading companies including Xerox, Salomon Brothers and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Oring also holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
John Mitola currently serves as a board member and is also President and director of Juhl Wind, Inc. Mr. Mitola has over 20 years experience in energy and environmental industries. He was the CEO of Electric City Corp from 2000-2006, leading the company from its start up phase for six years as a publicly traded company. While trading on the American Stock Exchange the firm was selected one of the fastest growing small companies in the United States. Prior to Electric City, Mr. Mitola was a Vice President and General Manager of Exelon Thermal Technologies and led the creation of Commonwealth Edison's (now Exelon) first unregulated subsidiary. Mr. Mitola has also been a managing partner of Kingsdale Capital, a private equity and capital advisory firm and has been appointed twice by the Governor of Illinois as the Chairman of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority. Mr. Mitola received his BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana and Juris Doctor from DePaul University, College of Law.
John Hogg brings over three decades of oil exploration and operations expertise, both in Government negotiations and direct domestic experience in onshore and offshore hydrocarbon projects. Past responsibilities include senior roles with world-class exploration companies including Gulf Resources, Husky Oil, Petro-Canada, PanCanadian/Encana, and Conoco Phillips Canada. Mr. Hogg is currently Vice President of Exploration and Operations at MGM Energy Corporation, where he is responsible for all of MGM’s exploration and delineation efforts as well as a member of the Company’s Health and Safety and Audit Committees. He has been focused on the direct exploration and production assets throughout his distinguished career, including as Manager, New Ventures for Encana Corp, and from 1988-1997 as Team Lead/Geological Specialist for Petro-Canada Inc. Mr. Hogg has had direct corporate responsibility for several significant ($60-$150 million) capital exploration programs.
Several industry and academic awards have noted Mr. Hogg’s successful career. As well, he has been keenly involved with influential industry trade associations including as Past President of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and Chairman of the AAPG International Conference Committee. From 1985 to 2009, Mr. Hogg was responsible for several substantial hydrocarbon discoveries totaling 1.5 trillion TCF of gas and more than 50MMbbls of oil. He holds a BSc in Geology from McMaster University.
Mr. Vasudeva is the former Chairman of ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL), Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), and five other ONGC Group of Companies (OPaL, OMPL, MSEZ, OTPC and OMEL). He is the first Indian public sector business leader to be appointed to the Board of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) by the Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, for a period of three years.
Mr. Vasudeva is President of the Global Compact Network, India, one of the most active UNGC Networks, with over 100 members from public and private sectors as well as NGOs. He is Chairperson of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Indian Council, and the first Indian to receive the distinction of being appointed as Director At-Large on the SPE International Board of Directors. Mr. Vasudeva was also recently appointed as First Regional Director to head the newly created South Asia Region of SPE. Mr. Vasudeva was appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Raipur, by Her Excellency the President of India, Pratibha Devisingh Patil, for a period of three years. His provenance as an academic-industrial liason features a multitude of high-profile distinctions, including membership in the Advisory Council of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), special invitee to the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) Board of Governors, membership in the Doon University ExecutiveCouncil, membership in the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) Hyderabad Board of Governors, membership in the Council for Industry Higher Education Collaboration (CI-HEC), and President of the All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board (AIPSSPB), formed for promoting the cause of sports in India. Mr. Vasudeva is amongst the first generation of engineers entrusted with creating infrastructure for India’s oil & gas activities, and is credited with developing path-breaking initiatives for complex offshore projects. He was instrumental in the success of Panna-Mukta-Tapti expansion projects worth $1 billion, and approving the field development plan of Mangla-Aishwarya- Raageswari-Sarasvati fields operated by Cairn Energy India Ltd., resulting in $4 billion and contributing approximately 10 MMT O+OEG to India’s production. Mr. Vasudeva expertly guided the development of offshore marginal fields, revitalizing them by applying state of the art technologies and optimization. Today, 34 such fields are under development through 11 cluster development schemes expected to result in incremental production of 110 MMT O+OEG.
Mr. Vasudeva’s professional recognitions include CMD’s Young Executive Award, the SPE Regional Distinguished Corporate Support Award 2010 (the first such award for any Indian company), the SPE Regional Service Award 2010, the award for ‘Outstanding Achievement in Exploration & Production’ for outstanding service, exemplary leadership and management skills during OceanTex World Expo 2012, the Honorary CEPM-PMA Fellowship in the 19th Global Symposium on Project Management 2011, recipient of first FGI Ratna Award 2012 by the Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI), the Distinguished Fellowship of Institute of Directors for 2012, the Fellowship of Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), the Honorary Fellowship of Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), recipient of Honorary Lifetime Fellowship from All Indian Management Association(AIMA),honored with “Pride of Nation” award by Doon Citizens Council in 2013, “Enertia Man of the Year” Award in Oil & Gas - 2012, the NDTV Profit Business Leadership Award 2012, recognized as “Asia CEO of the Year – 2013” from Platts Global Energy Award, and SCOPE Excellence Award for Individual Leadership in the Maharatna/ NavaratnaPSE Category in 2013.
Mr. Vasudeva holds a BE in Chemical Engineering, an Advanced Diploma in Management, and is pursuing a Ph.D.
Dr. Barbara J. Radovich, Ph.D.
Dr. Radovich has over 34 years of worldwide experience in 2D and 3D seismic and well log sequence stratigraphy of clastics and carbonates, fluvial to deepwater settings, and regional basin to reservoir scales of investigation. She is a proven oil-finder, having developed interpretations leading to major discoveries in deepwater offshore Nigeria, for which she received Texaco’s highest research award. She is a recognized speaker on the integration of 3D seismic attribute and visualization techniques within a framework of sequence stratigraphic architectures, especially in shelf margin to deepwater settings. Her experience covers over 40 areas around the world including West Africa, East Africa and India, South America, the Mediterranean, the Gulf of Mexico, the North Sea, and Southeast Asia.
